Why Sharing is Key to Growth
I used to be a lone wolf on my learning journey. As a child, I believed learning was solely about ingesting knowledge, an isolated pursuit. But entering the software engineering world shattered that illusion. The most talented and intelligent people I met were the ones who generously shared their knowledge and experiences.
Their wisdom helped me countless times. It made me realize that sharing makes us better learners. It's like the principle of division of labor (opens in a new tab) - we all specialize, share, and learn collectively, accelerating progress.
The worst learning environment? One where nobody shares. This stifles individual and societal growth. Reasons vary, from fear of embarrassment to the naive belief that solo learning leads to superiority.
But remember, even seemingly "obvious" insights can have a tremendous impact on others. Sharing blog posts, answers on Stack Overflow, or even comments - these gestures can spark new ideas and solve problems. I've personally benefited immensely from these "little sharings."
By sharing and being open to constructive criticism, we help each other achieve more and reach happiness. So, dear readers, don't hesitate to correct me! That's why I started this blog, sharing my learning notes from Obsidian (opens in a new tab) . Even if I inspire someone, save them a second, or spark an idea, it's all worth it.
Remember, we're all on this learning journey together. Let's share, learn, and grow as a community!
